Scout-o-rama: Celebrating 100 Years of Scouting in Acadiana

Blackham Coliseum, Lafayette | October 19, 2024 | 10am - 4pm

Scout-o-rama is a council event for our community to come and see what scouting is all about! Each unit is expected to provide an activity or demonstration in order for this day to be a success. Please contact the appropriate Scout-o-rama Chair to submit your activity. If you need help selecting an activity our chairs can assist you.

This is not just a celebration of 100 years of scouting in Acadiana, but an opportunity for us to reach the public in a way that hasn't been done for many years in the council and that is with this council-wide recruiting event.

Friday, October 18 - Scouts BSA Troops may camp out the night before the event

4pm - Troops can come set up their activities

7:30pm - Break to cook dinner & special recognition ceremonies

10:30pm - Lights Out

Saturday, October 19

7:30am - Wakeup and cook breakfast

8:00am - Cub Scouts units and other vendors may arrive to set up

10am - Doors Open to General Public, activities & demonstrations begin

3pm - Doors Close to the General Public

4pm - Event Cleanup

Admission for Scouts: $6/each
(must use promo code for scout rate, please contact your unit leader for the code)

Admission for General Public: $8/each

Admission for Families (up to 6 members): $20/family
