Bobcat Day
Bobcat Day is a Council Sponsored Event designed to introduce children and their families to the Cub Scout program, and to offer a refresh of the basics to returning Scouts. We strive to meet the needs of all attending Bobcat Day and make sure the day is both fun and safe for all participants and staff.
You can look forward to learning about the Cub Scout Oath, Law, and Motto, Camping 101, Outdoor Cooking, Knot Tying, and MUCH MORE! Youth and their families will be divided into “dens” and rotate through a series of activities for the day. Each “den” will be led by 2-3 Troop Scouts.
In addition to a day full of outdoor* fun (*indoor if it’s raining), every attendant will receive lunch and dessert, and every participating youth will receive an exclusive patch to commemorate their journey.
While there are some opportunities to complete requirements for Elective Adventures, this event is meant to prepare Scouts for what they’ll learn throughout their year(s) of Cub Scouting and should not count towards Required Adventure requirements. Those requirements are meant to be completed within your den and pack.
